Biography

During his years of practice, Dr. Ferrel has treated athletes of all levels, from recreational to olympian. Locally, he works with athletes from local High Schools and Colleges, but also travels to help athletes, globally.
In 2008, Dr.Ferrel had the honor of being the first chiropractor ever to work with athletes at a completion site during the Olympic Games. Dr.Ferrel was selected part of the USA Medical Staff for the Olympic Games in 2008 (Beijing, China) and 2016 (Rio De Janeiro, Brazil). In 2019, he became Medical Director for the country of Grenada for the Pan American Games (Lima, Peru) and at the IAAF Outdoor World Track and Field Championships (Doha, Qatar). Dr. Ferrel also has experience as Medical director for USA Beach Volleyball and the Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP) sporting organizations.
Additional roles include; Director of Chiropractic Services for the USA Triathlon, Medical Director of the Santa Barbara Track Club (SBTC), Board of Directors for the California Chiropractic Association, Vice President of the American Chiropractic Association Sports Council, and Steering Committee Member for both US Cycling & Triathlon Federations.
